What This Blog is About

The name of this blog is born from ‘L’Arcane sans Nom,’ ‘The Nameless Arcanum’ of the Tarot de Marseille. Often erroneously referred to as ‘Death,’ exploring the implications of this false epithet was one of the initial motivators for these writings.

The Tarot de Marseille is the primary subject of this ongoing research project. To give greater context, meaning, and utility to the universality of the ‘Nomadic Cathedral’ that is the Tarot, additional esoteric and exoteric subjects will be covered, both in philosophical and practical terms.

The Tarot is many things, eternally blossoming and unfolding its shape for each moment, and Arcanum XIII is representative of its most profound transformations. Here we find not just a shared name, but a shared essence.

To paraphrase Socrates, “This blog partakes of multitudes.”
